The global pandemic has affected many of Temple’s normal on-campus operations. Find out everything you need to know about changes on our campuses, including changes that impact student housing, parking and facilities.

Return to Campus Information for Students

As we prepare for the spring amid uncertainty, the university continues to monitor guidance from the city and state to make the return to campus as safe as possible. Students returning to campus should review the requirements below. Should circumstances change over time, we are prepared to deviate from our plans in order to keep our community safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Compliance

In addition to complying with the university’s testing program, residential students are expected to comply with all university protocols and city regulations. At Temple, this includes adhering to protocols for testing, contact tracing, and quarantining and isolating; limitations on social gatherings; and restrictions on guests in university housing.

Students are encouraged to check their Temple emails regularly for additional information about move-in, isolation procedures, and the COVID-19 testing and vaccination plan described in the most recent message from President Englert and Provost Epps.

We hope to return to a vibrant campus experience, with our residence halls, dining halls, Student Center and academic buildings, as well as our athletic and recreational facilities, open this fall. Students will be asked to swipe their Owlcard in order to keep track of the masks allotted. Schools and colleges across Temple campuses will also have masks available.

On Main Campus, masks will be distributed at the following locations.

  • Charles Library security desk
  • 1101 W. Montgomery Ave. (Bell Building)
  • Howard Gittis Student Center Information Desk
